Memory Foam Mattress Pad

By Dr Dan Worm

After years of sleeping on the same bed, many people give up on their bed and spend mega bucks to purchase a new one. There are ways around buying a new bed. If your bed is too firm or have sagging spots were just as making you wake up with an aching back or body, maybe you should try a memory foam mattress topper.

One of the main factors that you need to look into when shopping for memory foam mattress topper is the density of that particular topper. All brands of toppers have different densities summarize some low. The denser the mattress topper, the more expensive it will be. However you get what you pay for especially with a mattress topper.

Most people heard of the brand Posturepedic, they have set the standard or the bar for density and mattress toppers. If you do your research will find that the average memory foam mattress topper's density from them is about 5 1/2 pounds, whereas many other brands toppers average about 4 1/2 pounds. So from this you can see why Posturepedic is why we sought after, and yet is expensive at the same time.

You can find memory foam mattress topper is at any mattress store, or online. You can also find memory mattress topper's at different retail stores such as Wal-Mart, Costco, Sam's Club, Kmart and others. There is a wide range in which the price varies for memory mattress topper's. The lower center mattress topper Julia Starr on our dollars go way up from there. Buying a memory mattress topper from your local retail store will probably not be the best quality but that isn't to say that they're still not good topper's.

Before buying a memory mattress topper you should look into finding out how the mattress topper was packaged. Two of the main ways that they packaged toppers our first they will vacuum seal the memory mattress topper in the package. The other way that they will package the memory mattress topper is to compress the mattress topper first, and then put in the package. You want to buy a mattress that was compress first and then packaged.

Using a vacuum sealer to compress the mattress topper will cause the mattress topper to never return to its original shape and size, and in return will also lose its life expectancy. If you are unsure of how the manufacture may have packaged the foam mattress that you purchased you can usually call them and they will let you know.

It is good to remember that the average life expectancy of a lower denser foam topper is only about 4 to 5 years. At that time the topper will be given to become soft and the need to be replaced. On the other had a higher density foam mattress will last a bit longer and this is one of the reasons that you pay more for them. All I can say is before you buy a mattress topper it is best if you can physically lay on them first then decide which one you want.
