The Carbon Copy Pro 2009 90 Day Challenge

By Jan Shimano

So many people still don't really understand the necessity of actually setting goals for themselves. You might have a vague idea of what you would like to happen in the future but if you don't have a clear idea of where you want to go, then how on earth are you going to know if you ever get there. That might sound a little silly, but when you give it some thought, you will realize the truth in that statement.

I have been retired from full-time work for many years. I had a responsible position with the Canadian Government but never learned any computer skills because my staff took care of that for me. However, just last November, 2008 I decided that I was going to fulfill a dream and a goal of mine. I was going to have my own home-based internet marketing company. After thoroughly researching many companies, I decided to align myself with Carbon Copy Pro. What impressed me the most about them was that they were a complete marketing system that had been developed to help solve problems most people faced in a home-based business and they provided all the tools for success. If you can imagine, they even close the deals for you!!

At their Convention in the fall of 2008 they offered a program...the 2009 Carbon Copy Pro 90 Day Challenge. I later learned about it and signed up and last night was the last of the weekly webinars. One of the instructors asked us to record our progress during this 90 day period. That got me thinking about where I am today, compared to where I was back in early December, when we had our first webinar. Back then I had never written an article before, I had never produced a video, I had never had my own blog, or a Facebook or a Twitter account...I had never even heard of some of these things.

So what have I managed to accomplish during this period of time? Well, I have learned something about writing articles and I have actually written 20 of them and have had them all published with EzineArticles. That alone would have made me deliriously happy...but I also managed to get all 20 articles on the first page of Google and some were even in the very first position.

I bought myself a little webcam and started learning how to create and edit videos. There was quite a learning curve but I now have 26 videos on my YouTube channel and I also have 37 subscribers to my channel. When I upload a new video, these people are automatically advised so that they can check it out. I have received some very complimentary comments from viewers who also thank me for helping them get started with their own business.

I now have a Wordpress.org blog that I host myself and I am in the process of creating my own capture pages. I have posted a Press Release and will be doing another one within a matter of days. As of yesterday I had 567 followers on Twitter and 685 followers on Facebook and I have developed many wonderful relationships by networking on these sites.

I feel very good about myself when I look at what I have accomplished during the past 90 days, and this is only the beginning!!

No doubt you have all heard someone say "if I can do it, then anyone can". Sometimes we think, "Oh yeh...who are they kidding!" In this case, I really feel that it is the truth. I am a 65 year old, retired woman, with no previous computer or marketing skills. So I do feel confident in saying "if I can do it, you can too". If you have the desire to achieve your goals, then believe me, nothing can or will stop you from doing just that. The right person or the right information will appear just when you need it the most, as long as you give it your best and you never, never give up. That's the secret! There is no better time to succeed that right now. Millions of new millionaires are going to be created over the next ten years and there is no reason on earth why you cannot be one of them. I definitely plan on being one, do you?

One final word....if you ever have the opportunity to sign up for the next 2009 Carbon Copy Pro 90 Day Challenge, then go for it. The training is awesome.
