Inexpensive Wedding Favors for Your Big Day

A wedding is in your future, that's wonderful! So now you have a ton of wedding plans to make and you don't have a huge budget. What are some fun things that you can do as a couple that won't cost too much? You can make your wedding favors! Wedding favors are the sweet little presents that you give to your wedding guests. Wedding favors also serve as table decorations during the reception or dinner. They can be as creative as your wedding theme and should reflect a personal touch for your guests. Fortunately, there are some wonderfully cheap wedding favors you can make.

Mini Pictures These are one of the easiest (and cheapest) of the wedding favors to make. Find tiny silver or pastel colored frames in a variety of shapes in craft and dollar stores. The fill them with either small pictures of yourselves or print out on small business sized cards your announcements. Some people use them on tables to identify where important members of the wedding party or family will be sitting during the reception. Some of the frames even have little clips on the tops so that balloons or small cards can be attached.

Mini Tins If you want to leave your wedding guests with a sweet memory, then create mini candy tins filled with mints, M&M's or other little candies. The tins can include a label with your names and wedding date printed on them Find heart shapes for romantic wedding favors.

Music CD's are one of the cheapest and most memorable wedding favors to create. Choose songs that are meaningful and romantic and burn them to recordable cd's on your home computer. Then print out a white label with your names and wedding date on them, hang a ribbon through the hole and hang them on willow branches in vases on the reception tables. Guests will think of your wedding day every time they listen.

Fabric Bags These are wonderful little wedding favors that are so easy and inexpensive to make ahead of time. Simply purchase small round discs of organza or tulle fabric, or cut them out yourself, then fill them with a tablespoon of birdseed to throw at the happy couple as they leave the reception on their way to the honeymoon. Or you can fill them with sand and tiny seashells if you have a beach themed wedding. They can be as personalized as you want them to be.

Photo Magnets- Create personalized photo magnets with your wedding portrait on them, complete with your wedding date and location. If you want to, you can send them out after the wedding inside your thank you notes.

With a little creativity, you can make sure your wedding favors are as special as your love for each other, even if you are on a budget.
