Building a Wardrobe

By Victor Santerino

Student loans, rent, car payments, and finally the cost of building a proper wardrobe for the job you've worked so hard to get. Knowing what to buy to get the most from your money is essential when starting out.

I wrote this article to help men in their initial suit purchasing endeavors. Upon finishing this article you will have a better idea of what colors and fabrics should be chosen for men's first suit purchases.

Firstly, a new suit purchaser should think about what color will best compliment an overall wardrobe. The two most versatile colors are dark gray and navy blue. These colors will go well with a wide array of shirts and ties.

Next you will want to consider a fabric that is of medium weight. This will ensure that you can wear your suit in both warm and cold climates with minimal discomfort.

Accessories such as belts and shoes should be purchased in colors that will compliment your current suit as well as any new suits you may consider. The color black is the best all around color you can buy for shoes and belts.

Shirts should initially be purchased in plain colors of white or blue. These colors will live up to the strict policy guidelines of any suit wearing company. Also white will look great with any suit color you might purchase in the future.

The winter coat is essential for those living in areas with cold winters. Medium weight suits will keep some of the frost off you, but will not suffice in freezing temperatures.

Make sure you start your wardrobe off in the right order by bookmarking this page and returning to it often. Take note of the particular areas you have questions on and you will not go wrong.
