Movies You Can Get Online

By Brian Hines

I have made a sampling of the movies released this year (2008). I have chosen a few of the motion pictures that I think you might like. I'm sure that you can find a picture or two that you will enjoy.

PINEAPPLE EXPRESS: Full time stoner Dale Denton has just seen a bad police officer, and a big time dealer, murder someone. They see him witness what's gone down. Sure that he has been spotted, he drops his joint of pineapple express, and runs. The weed is so special, that the bad guys can. The "fun" is on, and Dale and his pot dealer friend Saul are now running for their lives.

HAMLET 2: Dana Marshz, formerly a small time actor, now finds himself teaching theater classes at the high school to uninterested students. The school loses a building due to destruction, so the school board figures the acting classes will have to go. Now fully motivated, he is on a mission to save the program by producing Hamlet 2, an original interpretation of the Shakespeare classic, which he creates.

BOLT: Bolt is a fun animation. Bolt is a dog actor, whom in his TV show, has superpowers. His problem is that he is convinced he has these powers. After he is unexpectedly put into a real life situation, he discovers that he is only a normal dog. On a journey to get back home, he is helped by Rhino and Mittens, his newly found hamster and cat friends.

JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH: Searching for his brother, Professor Trevor Anderson travels to Iceland, and that sends him into the depths of our planet. This is a remake of the 1959 film, which was based on the classic novel by celebrated writer Jules Verne. Directed by Eric Brevig, and starring Brendan Fraser.

MADAGASCAR: ESCAPE 2 AFRICA: As you might imagine, this is the next edition to the big hit film Madagascar. Our cast of lost animals, Alex (Lion), Marty (Zebra), Gloria (Hippo), and Melman (Giraffe) are trying to get back to New York's famous Central Park Zoo, putting an end to their incredible adventure. With things going wrong again, with the Penguins leading them astray, they now are headed to have more adventures first.

THE INCREDIBLE HULK: This movie tells the story of Dr. Bruce Banner, who has become the green Hulk. This film is about the marvel comic character the green Hulk. Key cast members are Edward Norton, Tim Roth and Liz Tyler. Louis Leterrier directs this film. The film genre is action.

ROLE MODELS: Danny (Paul Rudd) and Wheeler (William Scott), a couple of energy drink promoters, might be seeing some hard jail time because they binged, and trashed the company truck. The option to get out of serving jail time is to work in community service for 150 hours. The problem is they will need to mentor some kids as sort of a big brother. The stage is set for some good comedy.

WALL-E: This film is an animated, comedy, adventure, sci-fi. Earth has been left behind, an uninhabitable wasteland. Waste removal robot, Wall-E, has been left to clean up the mess. When a recon bot (Eve) appears, checking for any signs of life, Walle-E has a friend. When the spaceship returns for Eve, Wall-E stows away, and thus starts the adventure of his robot life.

TROPIC THUNDER: Overloaded with good actors this movie is a classic parody of popular war films. Things are going bad, so to get his super star cast to make a first rate war movie, the now venturesome director into the wild jungle, and leaves them there by themselves. The plan is to scare them into the realism needed for a great war film, which hidden cameras will capture. When the director steps on an old land mine and dies, the actors are now truly on their own, and they are convinced everything is just an act, when things start to get very real. Jack Black, Ben Stiller, Robert Downey Jr., and Tom Cruise star.

These days just about everyone buys or rents films when the come out on DVD, so they can see them in the comfort of their living rooms. A more recent method for getting films is by downloading them directly off websites. Online providers have websites that with a membership, you can download virtually any movie ever made.
