Born into the family business, Speed Racer is a young man who loves racing. His goal is to win The Crucible, a huge racing event that had cost his brother his life. With no one expecting him to win, and the family business on the line, he surprisingly teams up with his old rival Racer X, in a last ditch effort to give himself a chance to win, so the family business won't go under.
