Today, many of us get movie rentals regularly. Typically we will wait for the DVD rentals to hit the stores, in preference to going to the movies. Here is a short list of some of most heavily rented DVD's in Oct. 2008.

An additional method for getting films is movie downloads. You can find websites that you can get a huge selection of downloadable films. This very useful if you're trying to build your movie library.

INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL: Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) returns to action, after a 19 year hiatus. This the fourth movie in the Indiana Jones movies. In this, the latest adventure, Mr. Jones battles the Soviets. This time everyone is searching for the Crystal Skulls, and the powers they might possess.

THE LAZARUS PROJECT: Ben Garvey, once a bad boy criminal, has changed his life for the better. With a stable home, and a job that pays the bills, things are pretty darn good. Then, he gets fired from his job, and he turns to crime for the solution. People die during an attempted robbery, and he winds up on death row. He expects the lethal injection to kill him. Shockingly, he isn't dead, but is in a psych ward. He now fights for his sanity, and his soul.

LINEWATCH: Mr. Michael Dixon is a well seasoned boarder agent in New Mexico, and life seems to be good. Soon his past is going to catch up with him. He was part of a vicious L.A. gang, which he eventually left. When a chance meeting exposes his whereabouts to his old gang, he finds himself in a potentially deadly situation. He is forced risk it all, and ensure that the gang can get a huge illegal drug delivery into the country.

THE INCREDIBLE HULK: This film is about Dr. Bruce Banner (Edward Norton), who is now, due to a military accident, has become the Incredible Hulk. The movie is based on the marvel universe comic super hero the green Hulk. Stars include Edward Norton, Tim Roth, William hurt, Liz Tyler. The director is Louis Leterrier. This movie would be classified as a science fiction film.

DECEPTION: Jonathan McQuarry (Ewan Mcgregor) has an unusual meeting with charismatic corporate lawyer Wyatt Bose. This a meeting that changes his life forever. He is introduced to "The List", which offers a steamy sexual pleasures. Sadly, he also finds himself in a scene full of deceit, underhandedness and death.

JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH: Searching for his brother, professor Trevor Anderson goes on a mission that leads him to the center of the earth. This another version of the original 1959 movie, which was based on the brilliant book by celebrated writer Jules Verne. Directed by Eric Brevig, and starring Brendan Fraser.

THE HAPPENING: Confused and frightened, teacher Elliot Moore, with his wife and many other frightened people are escaping Philadelphia by train. Philadelphia has been thrown into chaos. People have been afflicted by an unusual force, and are taking their own lives. Can we find an answer, or are we witnessing the final acts of humans on Earth?

IRON MAN: Super stud, engineering expert, Tony Stark (played by Robert Downey Jr.) is attacked and taken by Afghan insurgents. They demand him to build missiles for the insurgent group. He suffered a bad injury when his convoy was attacked, and has shrapnel stuck in his chest. To live through this life threatening wound, and escape his captors, he creates a suit made of armor, which makes him virtually invincible. Iron Man, a new super hero has arrived.

SPEED RACER: The 1990's television cartoon is now a movie hit. Much like the movie The Flinstones, Speed Racer was a TV cartoon that was turned into a feature film with actors. Born into the family business, Speed Racer is a young man who loves racing. His goal is to win The Crucible, a huge racing event that had cost his brother his life. With no one expecting him to win, and the family business on the line, he surprisingly teams up with his old rival Racer X, in a last ditch effort to give himself a chance to win, so the family business won't go under.
