Acne Introduction - The Causes Of Acne And How To Prevent It

By Haiyan Lasi-Heskin

Most people can recognize and diagnose acne themselves. Acne is a kind of catch-all term that basically refers to eruptions on the skin that are caused by the effects of hormones on sebaceous glands.

There are more pilosebaceous units on the face, neck, chest, and back, so that's where more pimples and blackheads develop.

About 85% of all teenagers will have acne to some degree. A teenage body is suffused in raging hormones, and those hormones are responsible in a large part for acne.

There are treatments today for teenage acne that can help keep the acne under control. It's very important to keep their faces clean. Bar soaps or washes may be used and vary from 2 to 10% in strength.

Washing the face thoroughly twice a day, morning and evening, with a mild soap with your fingers using a gentle circular motion and patting (not rubbing) it dry.

Eat a healthy, well-balanced diet that includes fruits, vegetables, whole grains, fish, and poultry in order to provide your body with the required nutrients for healthy skin.

Take foods that are high in zinc such as brewers yeast, whole grains, Brazil nuts, and pumpkin seeds, as zinc gluconate has been shown to be effective in the treatment of inflammatory acne.

If you want healthy, glowing, acne-free skin, you need to eat a diet that is high in fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, whole grains, fish, and shellfish. And clean you skin completly and correctly twice a day.
